I used to be able to say I have read every book I have ever purchased. Now, however, I have discovered library sales. I have a special bookcase for, “I am going to read these eventually.”

What is worse is Amazon – how long do they let those wish lists get? At least Amazon helps you to determine which books are really worth reading.
Perhaps the answer is some form of injectible book (sounds about as fun as speed reading) – something along the lines of Gibson’s ‘jacked in’.
The stack of purchased books from the wish list which still needs to be read is both at once disheartening and tantalizing.
