I've always thought that death-penalty advocates should just go all the way and claim to be "pro-choice" on the death penalty. The arguments practically write themselves: "I'm personally opposed to the death penalty, and would never vote to impose it myself, or encourage my wife or daughter to do so, but who am I to interfere with the rights of judges and juries to follow their own consciences and decide what is best for them?"Posted by Dr. Weevil at March 31, 2002 10:20 PM
