Announcement

I've had some complaints about the look of my site, particularly the type size, which is apparently too small for 800 x 600 monitors. I am attempting to correct for that. Comments will be much appreciated. They can be delivered via the comment function or ordinary e-mail.

In the mean time, the look of the site is likely to change, and it may be totally unreadable if I screw up my templates, but not (I hope) for long.

Well, sir, now that you bring it up.......

If it were me I'd make the post section wider, the text type face a little darker and a point size or two larger. In terms of wideness, I'd make the left post column 2/3 of the total width of the page, and the gray section 1/3.

That's all I'd change. Everything else is pretty cool, especially the content.

Keep the weevils!

I have my screen resolution set to 1600x1200, and I have no problem with your type size. It's not as large as, say, Daily Pundit, but it's not tiny like several other blogs out there, whose names I shall not mention.

Thanks for all the advice. Here's what I've done:

1. Darker text: Done -- now has a black/white ratio of 7-1 instead of 5-3.

2. Change column widths? Hmmm, maybe later. Still thinking about that.

3. Weevils: Absolutely no chance of them leaving. I'm trying to figure out how to bring back the paired weevils found in my party picture page, but that leaves no room for the flag and conflicts with the weevily wallpaper.

Finally, I'm glad to hear it works on 1600 x 1200.

I've been reading it on a 1280x1024 [I wish I had the capability of 1600x1200!!] and I've never had a problem...

1600x1200 *on a laptop*

:)

Doc, anything that is easy to read at 1600x1200 on a laptop should be VERY easy for anyone else to read.
